Heart Disease Symptoms

Heart disease has many variations or 'types'. For example, coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and arrhythmias. With so many variations of heart disease, several forms of heart disease symptoms can be looked out for.

Each type of heart disease having it's own individual symptoms.. Despite this, many heart problems. also do have similar symptoms. Heart disease can be a hereditary disease, passed on through the family, through each generation. The most common symptom of coronary heart disease is angina, which can be described as a pressure or heaviness, aching or burning, tightness or squeezing. A painful feeling within the chest area. Commonly, some symptoms can be mistaken for indigestion or heartburn. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor immediately. Angina is commonly felt in the chest, but can also be felt in other parts of the upper body, like the arms, neck, shoulders, throat, back and the jaw. Other common symptoms of coronary artery disease can include irregular heart beats, dizziness, sweating, nausea and shortness of breath.

It has been found that some people can have a heart attack without having any symptoms. Although this occurs more often amongst diabetics. Another commonly found heart disease. This disease occurs when the valves on the heart do not work, as they should. It can also cause heart failure, of which symptoms can include changes in sleep patterns, breathlessness, a worsened cough, swelling of the ankles, feet and/or abdomen. Extreme fatigue and a faster heart rate, as well as many more. There are many forms of valve disease. Two examples being Valvular Stenosis and Valvular Insufficiency. Valvular Stenosis is a valve opening smaller than usual. The narrow opening of the valve itself makes the heart work harder to pump blood which can cause heart failure and several other symptoms. Valvular insufficiency occurs because the valve does not shut tightly enough. If the valves are not sealed, some blood leaks back through the valve, almost a regurgitation. As the leak gets wors, the heart works even harder than usual because of the leaky valve, so less blood may flow.

There are many successful treatments available, for heart diseases, in this day and age as well as many healthy things you can do as preventive actions. If you have concerns with any possible heart disease symptoms, it is vital to contact your doctor for further examination immediately. So many symptoms are also common to many other general illnesses. When it comes to the heart, it is always best, be safe and consult your doctor for further help and information. Never leave your health to chance. Especially when it comes to affairs of the heart!
